I am so out of here...

Once every couple of weeks the time comes when I just need an "upper"
More than the usual 'Lets go to a nice place' kinda upper
Less than the 'I need to go into serious hiding' kinda downer?
Well you get the picture

Well, I've always been told that sometimes when you want something badly enough, the universe conspires to give it to you...

Now imagine the power of that if there is a whole group of people wanting that

*MAGIC HAPPENS*

The whole bunch of people mysteriously manage to get a wholly expense paid weekend in Sunny Goa

Probably explains why I am updating my blog at 3:53 am when I should be on my way to the airport...insane hour...I agree but hey its a free ticket and I aint complaining...

So, if you wanna find me - just ask for the "Bloody Spicy Bloody Mary" gal - I'll be hiding behind my shades on the beach somewhere

I could have danced all week and still have begged for more...

Fun fun fun

This last week has been fun-filled all the way
Or wait let me rephrase that - Drama filled is more like it

My car got smashed

I took the poor girl to the police station and gave her a piece of my mind there

I don't think she's gonna be driving any time soon
The ultimate part of the bang up was the part when after smashing into my car the first time, when she tried to move the car out of the way she actually managed to scratch it a second time

Oh such fun...I went ballistic on her
Other than that my new office is finally ready and has been completely feng shui'd right down to the colour of the walls and the 5 rod wind chimes and rose quartz balls etc
The office is a bright green and yellow and reminds me of a kindergarten class room...I absolutely love it...There are these two huge windows that add so much sunshine to the office just making it a absolutely happy place to be in...

The one thing I am thrilled about is the new blue hookah we have bought for the office. The blue glass hookah looks stunning against the yellow walls and the bright sunshine adding a je ne sais pas to the ambience...
This week has also been a week of unbelievable partying
I've been out every night this week
Each night with a different bunch of people
Last night I met up with a friend that I had not seen in three years. And it was such fun to meet up with him again. His hair has grown longer and curlier since the last time I saw him... He has also become a Bollywood producer since the last time I met him - probably explains the new look...
I actually decided to dress up and smile alot last night and I felt great doing it...I think being at the J W Marriott has something to do with that
Today is finally sunday and I am having a hard time keeping myself out of bed...I want my bed
and lots of chocolate for me to eat, lots of coal makin lots of 'eat, warm face, warm hands, warm feet....oh you know the rest...
Sing it with me...

Queen of Clubbing

I did something last night that I have not done in ages...
I went clubbing
I must admit though, I was the oldest person in the group
We never planned on going clubbing last night. It was a colleague's birthday and one thing led to another which led us to going clubbing to this retro club in the city called 'Polly Esthers'
I like Pollys - as we call it...the music is good, the crowds decent and I used to be a regular there once upon a time
I realised when I entered that I hadn't been there in two years and I found myself back at the same seat that used to be "MINE" except there was another clubber on the seat...
The bartenders had changed and their uniforms had changed as well...
We danced, we sang, we drank the night away and found every opportunity to sing Happy Birthday as loud as we could to change colours on the face of the poor boy
We closed the club down and waited for them to throw us out
And did I mention it was the captain of the Indian Rugby Team who's birthday we were celebrating...
And did I mention, the rugby team clubbed the night away with us?
Jealous are we ;)?

Letter to you

I was driving home from work today earlier than usual

The sun was beating straight into my eyes

I didn't have my shades so I squinted while I inched my way through the streets of Bombay

And I remembered how you always kept your shades hoisted up in the front of your car in the little air vent holes

It made me realise how much I miss you

How long it has been since we have spoken

My hands itched to pick up the phone and call you

I know you asked about me the other day

I know the name you used in reference to me

And I know you are reading this even though you don't leave smiles on my face

My hands continued to itch as I stared at the phone on the passenger seat

I felt a tear coming on

But I remembered, I don't cry

So, I allowed myself to believe it was the sun that made my eyes water

But not a tear fell, not one

I wouldn't allow it

I just wanted to call to say, I've been thinking about you

I have...

Clinton said...

At the Qutb Minar, Delhi

Bill Clinton once said,

`There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who have seen the Taj Mahal and love it and those who have not seen the Taj and love it. I would like people to watch my Taj Mahal and fall in love with it"

I saw the Taj Mahal for the second time in my life last week and trust me no matter how high your expectations even the second time around, you're still left in awe...

Now I know why...

As most of you must know, I moved job profiles a few months ago.

I was in mainline advertising and loved every moment of it.

But senior management had different plans for me.

They moved me into the events and celebrity management area of the company...

Now while that excited me terribly from time to time I would wonder whether I had made the right move or not

But the last couple of days reiterated the 'calling'

I have been co-ordinating and managing over 50 very very senior delegates from across the globe in Delhi over a two day conference filled with themed activities every night...

The conference ended with a visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra which not only blew their minds away but mine for the second time as well...

To complete the experience there was Mughal themed dinner that night which even the sudden rain could not damper...

But to complete my point, I now know why I am in events...

The smile on everyones' faces at the end was worth every breaking and aching bone in body...
